I hope the Club did try - assuming it won't work because it's "Europe" is childish.

Was fairly hopeful about this until I read a piece where Moyes was saying how lucky he was to have Noble round the place.
Summoning the ghost of Mark Noble sounds like desperation to me

Looking on the bright side, both literally and metaphorically, the weather forecast for Lyon on the 14th is bright sunshine, a high of 24 degrees and only a 1% chance of rain. It will be warmer than Seville was, that’s for sure.

I’ve read that the two main squares that have bars, etc, will be La Place Bellecour and Place Terraux, both situated in the centre of the ‘Old Town’ part of Lyon.

Not a foul, a dive. A yellow for the Lyon player.

PS There are two Moussa Dembeles, both of whom played for Fulham, but only one played for Tottenham. The other one.

Even Keith Hackett said is wasnt a red

“I actually think there wasn’t a foul, therefore, the player cannot be dismissed. The second bit, was the player in direction of the goal? Becuase he is actually moving towards the corner flag more than the goal, again, the criteria are not fulfilled.

“Even if he thinks it’s a foul, he’s still got it wrong because the direction is away from the goal. I think West Ham had lots of reasons to complain on that one.”

Ndombele, Aouar and Lopes all picked up injuries against Strasbourg and are doubtful for the return game

Been chatting tonight with Burnley manager Sean Dyche and his assistant - two great fellows that I know well.

They think we should go to the highest level to complain about the Cresswell sending-off, not least given the corruption charge against that German match official.

Ian Woan (Burnley assistant) hopes and believes we will make the top four and that we win the Europa League. I echo his sentiments 🤣⚒

They won’t be looking forward to it unless they can find another bent ref before next week. Utter cunts - I actually believe I hate them more than Chelsea now.

Missed the Cresswell foul, just on the stairs for halftime cuppa. But can't help but think it might turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

Our first-half performance was at best average. Which might have gone on to a bore draw or even perhaps a narrow win either way. Instead, we got an inspired 10 man performance, which gave us a moral victory on the night. I think we might carry this forward to the away leg. Certainly, Lyon can't be pleased with the outcome of not being able to beat 10 men.

We have to go for it and won't be sitting back on a narrow win.

It'll be tight but we can do it

Does anyone know on what basis officials are appointed for the different ties .
Other than being ineligible to ref a game with a team from their own country - how does it work ?
